Marc Ellison, Ed.D.

Marc Ellison, Ed.D. is the executive director of the West Virginia Autism Training Center, located at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. Dr. Ellison is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked for nearly four decades to provide person-centered services and advocacy to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, their families, and those who support them. A past president of the West Virginia Licensed Professional Counselors Association, he has worked regularly to assist other mental health providers in their efforts to deliver quality therapeutic supports to clients diagnosed with ASD. He is a member of the Autism Society of America’s Panel of Professional Advisors and a board member of the Autism Society of West Virginia. Dr. Ellison was the lead author of the “Benchmarks of Effective Supports for College Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder,” and has authored or co-authored several publications specific to the support of those diagnosed with ASD.
