Susan Kabot, Ed.D., CCC-SLP

Sue spent over 34 years at Nova Southeastern University developing and supervising programs for children and young adults with autism, including early intervention, preschool, and college support. She continues to teach courses in autism and developmental disabilities at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. She has been a member of the governor-appointed Florida Developmental Disabilities Council for the past 10 years and has been chair for 5 of those years.  

Through a partnership between Nova Southeastern University and Camp Ramah Darom, she is one of the founders of a family camp for families of children with autism, which strives to meet the needs of parents and grandparents, siblings, and the campers with autism.  

Sue has been a member of the Autism Society of America for more than 30 years and on the Panel of Professional Advisors since 2009. Her passion for the field is fueled by her adult son, Michael, who has autism.
