Wendy Ross, M.D.

Wendy Ross, M.D., is a developmental and behavioral pediatrician. Currently, she is the inaugural director of  Jefferson’s Center for Autism and Neurodiversity, which merges her love of clinical medicine with her community inclusion programs.   Previously, she directed the Center for Pediatric Development where she assessed and developed plans for patients with a wide range of developmental and behavioral differences.  She also founded Autism Inclusion Resources, a nonprofit that is aimed at enabling individuals affected by autism and related disabilities to more fully participate in the world.  Dr. Ross created the first Autism Airport Inclusion Program with mock flights and has brought the program to airports across the US.  Legislation was created based on this air travel program.  She additionally has pioneered autism inclusion programs at museums, and sporting events, in addition to other settings.  In 2014, Dr. Ross was recognized internationally as a top 10 CNN hero. Dr. Ross is board certified in general pediatrics and developmental pediatrics.  She attended the Humanities and Medicine program at Mt Sinai School of Medicine in New York, where she graduated in the AOA honor society, and she completed a pediatrics residency at Yale and a fellowship at Harvard.
