Elizabeth Bonker
Elizabeth Bonker learned to spell at age six. Soon after, she began writing poems that were published in I Am in Here: The Journey of a Child Who Cannot Speak but Finds Her Voice. Elizabeth’s mission is to change the way the world sees non-speaking Autism as she believes all are capable of spelling or typing. Her advocacy work has been featured on PBS and in a TEDMED Talk at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
Elizabeth attended public school and graduated from Laurel Springs Academy for the Gifted and Talented. In May 2022, Elizabeth graduated as a Valedictorian from the Honors Program at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Her commencement address went viral with more than 3 billion impressions worldwide.
With her new nonprofit, Communication 4 ALL, Elizabeth seeks to gain communication for the estimated 31 million non-speakers with Autism worldwide.
